TESTSAFE of Australian, which, Mr. Xu Jianping, Director of NEPSI, once visited in September 1999, is directly affiliated to the safety authority of the Australian government – WorkCover Authority of NSW. |

During
his visit, Mr. Jim Munro made a comprehensive exchanges with NEPSI
concerning history, structure, personnel, facilities, ability,
achievements, testing technology and certification procedure of each side,
as well as the latest development trends in this field.
Based on his understanding of NEPSI, Mr. Jim Munro made a serious
investigation, in accordance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025, on
NEPSI’s laboratory management and technology.
He highly evaluated and adequately confirmed the quality control
system of NEPSI’s laboratories and its functioning.
Based
on mutual interests, both sides finally reached a
cooperation
agreement to establish cooperative relationship of mutual recognition
in the field of testing and certification of electrical apparatus used in
explosive atmospheres. This
is the third bilateral cooperation agreement on mutual recognition signed
between NEPSI and world famous testing and certification organizations for
explosion protection.
Henceforth,
the Chinese manufacturers of electrical apparatus for use in explosive
atmospheres can apply directly to NEPSI for TESTSAFE approval, and vice
