National Supervision and Inspection Center for  Explosion Protection and Safety of Instrumentation     ( NEPSI )  International Mutual Recognition Lab

NEPSI is a major organization that undertaking state key research projects concerning fundamental testing and verification technology of explosion protection. During the past decade, NEPSI has accomplished a number of state key R & D projects and won some special prizes as follows:

    ¡ï The project of ¡°Explosion Protection Testing Laboratory for Instrumentation¡± was granted third grade ¡°Scientific and Technical Progress Prize¡± by the Ministry of Machinery Industry in 1989.

    ¡ï ¡°Study on the Testing Technology of Explosion-protected Safety Barrier¡± was granted second grade ¡°Scientific and Technical Progress Prize¡± by the Ministry of Machinery Industry in 1995.

    ¡ï ¡°Study on the Fundamental Explosion Protection Technology of Automation Control System¡± was acknowledged as a significant achievement during China¡¯s Eighth Five-year Plan period by the State Planing Commission, State Science and Technology Commission and Ministry of Finance. Jiang Zemin, Chairman of the People¡¯s Republic of China, and other state leaders therefore interviewed NEPSI¡¯s representative.

    ¡ï The project of ¡°Study on Minimum Ignition Curves and Design of Intrinsic Safety Automation Control System¡± was granted first grade ¡°Science and Technology Progress Prize¡± by the Ministry of Machinery Industry in 1997.

Followings are projects accomplished in recent years or still in the process:

    ¡ï¡°Study on Testing Technology of Protective Shunt Diode Used in Explosion Protection Associated Apparatus¡±, which was sponsored by The Development Foundation of Machinery Industry.

    ¡ï¡°Study on Fundamental Explosion Protection Technology of Fieldbus¡±, which was sponsored by the Ministry of Machinery Industry.

    ¡ï¡°Reconstruction of the explosion protection testing facilities¡±, a key project of Shanghai.

    ¡ï Study on Explosion Protection Technology of Electrical Equipment for use in the State Key Project of ¡°Transport of Natural Gas from the West to the East¡±, a key project of Shanghai.

NEPSI will continue to follow the international developing trend of explosion protection technology, devote itself to the research and development of testing technology and strive to catch up with the world advanced level.
