How to apply for NEPSI approval

    ¡ï NEPSI performs explosion protection verification in accordance with corresponding standards on government¡¯s authorization. Explosion Protection Certificate of Conformity will be issued to the products that pass the verification.

    ¡ï Applicants shall make out an Application Form and NEPSI will then startup the verification procedure on receiving it.

    ¡ï Verification activities include document review, prototype checkup and explosion protection test.

For document review, the following documents should be provided in duplicate:

    1. Product design drawings relating to the type of explosion protection, according to the requirements of standards;

    2. Standard or specifications of the product;

    3. Description of design or necessary calculating data;

    4. Operating instructions;

    5. Test report that specified in product standard or specifications;

    6. Certification documents of other testing agencies (if available).

For prototype checkup, the following should be provided:

    1. Prototype and components that conforming with the requirements of the design drawings;

    2. Special mounting and dismounting tools.

For those products with new structure, material or technology, an ¡°Industrial Test License¡± will be issued first. The ¡°Explosion Protection Certificate of Conformity¡± will not be issued untie the product pass the field-test and verification.

    ¡ï Partial alteration of the product with ¡°Certificate of Conformity¡± should be subject to anew verification or putting on record at NEPSI.

    ¡ï If the product with ¡°Certificate of Conformity¡± were transferred to other manufactory for production, it should go through the approval procedure again.

    ¡ï NEPSI reserves the right to apply quality supervision and facilities and procedures audit to the products with ¡°Certificate of Conformity¡± jointly with other government departments concerned. In case the quality of the products failed in line with specified requirements, NEPSI will give warning or take necessary measures, or even recall the ¡°Explosion Protection Certificate of Conformity¡± if necessary.
