Pledges concerning impartiality, independency and secrecy in
testing, verification, calibration, inspection and certification services

To whom it may concern, and dear Clients:
It is the prerequisite of the third-party technical organization to insure impartiality and veracity of the results of testing, verification, calibration, inspection and certification, to respect and safeguard the rights and interests of the clients, and consequently enjoy the trust of the clients and the public. Therefore, it is to pledge, concerning its responsibility and obligation for the impartiality, independency and secrecy in testing, verification, calibration, inspection and certification activities, that:
1. Shanghai Inspection and Testing Institute of Instruments and Automation Systems (hereinafter referred to as SITIIAS) is an independently registered corporation, that can perform third-party testing, verification, calibration, inspection and certification, solely issue documents and undertake businesses, and have its own financial accounts;
2. SITIIAS will strictly abide by the laws and regulations of the state regarding testing, verification, calibration, inspection and certification;
3. SITIIAS will by no means to exploit the authority to do anything that will be adverse to impartiality and independency of testing, verification, calibration, inspection and certification at SITIIAS;
4. SITIIAS and its staff must not gain dishonestly in testing, verification, calibration, inspection and certification and issuing data and results, must not involve in any activities that could injure their independent and truthful judgement in testing, verification, calibration, inspection and certification, and must not participate in any product design, development, manufacture, provision, installation, application or maintenance activities that relate to the products being tested, verified, calibrated, inspected or certificated at SITIIAS;
5. Effective measures shall be adopted to prevent the staff from unfair or illicit commercial, pecuniary or any other pressures and influences, and bribery;
6. SITIIAS and its staff are obligated to keep concealed the state secrets, business secrets, technical know-how and data and results of testing, verification, calibration, inspection and certification , that learnt in such activities;
7. SITIIAS will guarantee the implementation of the pledge by means of required measures in organizational structure and management system;
8. Anyone who breaks this pledge must be dealt with sternly or even discharged from employment and investigated under the law;
9. SITIIAS accepts supervision by the clients. Clients are encouraged to lodge complaints with SITIIAS and even government departments concerned for any infringement of their rights and interests.
